Towing & Trailer Hookup Requirements
Towing
Most gooseneck trailers use a 2-5/16" ball, rated for loads in the 20,000 to 30,000 lb range. Smaller utility trailers typically run on a 2" ball rated for 7,000 to 10,000 lbs. The exact size is usually stamped right on top of the trailer coupler.

Equipment Rental Requirements
What to Bring
First time renting equipment from us? Here's what to have ready so we can get you in and out quickly.
Valid photo ID. A driver's license or state-issued ID to confirm who you are.
Form of payment. This covers your rental charges, any deposit, and extra fees.
The right tow vehicle and hitch setup, if you're towing a trailer or piece of equipment yourself. See Towing Requirements below.
Tie-downs or straps, if you're hauling loose materials like mulch or debris.
Equipment Pickup and Return Process
Pickup & Load-Out
Pulling in for the first time? Here's what to expect once you get here, from where to park to who handles the loading.
Where to pull in. Enter the main yard directly off Lancaster Pike (Route 222). The yard is wide and built for heavy equipment transport, trucks, and large trailers.
Where to stage for load-out. Pull up near the main office check-in area, or park your tow vehicle in one of the open lanes in the gravel yard. Leave room for wide turns if you're towing a larger trailer.
Whether staff loads or you do. Our team loads heavy earthmoving equipment and lifts onto your trailer, or hooks up your rented trailer to your vehicle. Securing the load, like strapping down smaller tools or checking that your chains and binders meet transport safety standards, is your responsibility.
When you return the equipment. Clean and ensure that the equipment you’re returning is free of contamination, ensure that the equipment is filled with the appropriate fuel, fluids, and lubricants. There is a penalty if these requirements aren’t met.
